How to Spot a Fake Spiritual Healer: 8 Signs

You paid. You waited. Nothing happened.

And now you are circling three questions. Was he a fraud? Does any of this work at all? Or is my situation simply hopeless?

Those are answerable questions, and I am well placed to answer them, because my field is full of frauds and it is their former clients who end up writing to me.

What I see arriving

People who paid two thousand pounds. Five thousand. A woman who had given four thousand two hundred euros to three different men. A man who paid three thousand two hundred for a return promised within three days.

None of them received anything, and none of them understood how they had been caught.

The answer is not humiliating. They were in pain. When you are in pain you want to believe the person who says it is possible. A fraud does not sell you spiritual work. He sells you the sentence you need to hear.

Eight signs of a fraud

One of these is enough. You do not need to wait for the second.

  • Results promised in twenty-four or forty-eight hours. No serious work guarantees this. The promise exploits your urgency and nothing else.
  • Rising sums. After the first payment there is always an additional problem, a more powerful offering. This never stops on its own.
  • Fear as a sales tool. If you do not pay now, something terrible will follow. Fear is the fraud’s primary instrument.
  • No explanation of method. A real practitioner can describe what he does in plain language. Total opacity is a warning.
  • No verifiable anchor. No place, no family name, no history. A pseudonym and a phone number.
  • An instant diagnosis of a powerful curse. Delivered in the first message, this is a sales technique dressed as a reading.
  • Disappearance after payment. Or reappearance only to ask for more. The relationship has become extraction.
  • He never says no. This is the deepest sign of all, and it deserves its own section.

Why saying no is the real test

I turn cases down, regularly.

When the Fa shows me the feelings are genuinely gone on both sides, I say so and I take nothing. When a situation needs months of work that the person cannot sustain, I say that too, because a commitment abandoned halfway often causes more damage than no commitment at all.

These refusals cost me income every month. They are also the only proof that I am actually reading something rather than counting something.

A practitioner who accepts every case, always, without conditions, is not reading. He is collecting.

The three most common schemes

The curse to be lifted. You are told someone placed a curse on you, and that it explains everything wrong in your life. Removing it costs three hundred. Then six hundred. Then twelve hundred. The invoice never ends, because the curse never existed.

The endless purification. Every time you pay, a new problem is discovered, requiring a new payment. The discovery always arrives just after the previous transfer clears.

The blessed money. Your notes are consecrated in a box and will multiply. You can guess the ending.

These work for one reason. They exploit distress, hope and fear, which are exactly the three things you have in abundance when someone you love has gone.

A high price proves nothing

If it is expensive, it must be serious. That is precisely the reasoning some frauds rely on, and they set high prices for that reason alone.

Price indicates nothing in either direction. What matters is the quality of the reading, the coherence of the explanation, and transparency about the process.

The question is not how much does it cost. The question is: what exactly will you do, how, and in what realistic timeframe? Anyone who cannot answer those three clearly does not deserve your trust at any price.

Already been scammed? Your situation is not finished

This is the most common case that reaches me, so read this part carefully.

First, stop paying that person immediately, under any pretext whatsoever.

Second, understand that a fraud’s failure does not condemn your situation. But it may have changed it. Work done without a reading, without coherence, sometimes by three different people contradicting each other, can leave residue around a relationship. Energies placed in disorder that cancel or obstruct one another.

That residue can be read and cleared. It has to be accounted for before anything new is attempted, otherwise you are building on cluttered ground.

This is why a reading after a failure is often the most revealing one of all. It starts from the complete reality of your situation rather than from the ideal version someone sold you.

Hounon and marabout are not the same word

A note on vocabulary, because it causes real confusion.

Marabout comes from the Islamic tradition, where it designates a religious guide. Usage stretched it to cover every African spiritual practitioner, rather like a catch-all.

Hounon is a precise title within Vodun. It designates a priest initiated into a recognised lineage. I am a Hounon, and I am a BOKONON, a priest of the Fa, the oracle of two hundred and fifty-six signs.

Vodun, often written Voodoo in English, is not the thing the films describe. It is an old and precise body of knowledge, maintained in Ouidah across centuries. It does not need marketing arguments. It has a very long record instead.

Common questions

How do I verify who you are?

My name is MIETONOU WAOUWA, Hounon of Ouidah, Benin. My number is public: +229 01 56 08 57 80. My place of practice is real and known. Write to me and ask questions before any payment at all.

Can a serious practitioner fail?

Yes, and honesty requires saying so. Some bonds are too damaged, some situations come too late. The difference is that an honest practitioner tells you before starting, not after collecting.

Do I pay before or after results?

Work is paid before, as with a doctor or a lawyer. What matters is not the order but total transparency on the price from the outset, and a commitment to stay until the end of what was agreed.

Is the first exchange really free?

Yes. Describe your situation and I will tell you what I see, without asking for anything. You decide afterwards.

Use this list on me too

A fraud always says yes, promises speed, raises his prices and then disappears.

A serious practitioner reads first, states a clear price, gives realistic timeframes, stays reachable, and knows how to tell you no.

You now have the test. Apply it to me as rigorously as to anyone else. That is exactly why I wrote it down.
